What is WeekendMode?

Recently many people have been telling me to create a blog. I've finally come to terms with it and decided, why not? Going to fashion school at The Fashion Institute of Technology, was a dream of mine. I love everything about fashion and being creative. Being that I'm a military wife and I live in Italy, I don't always get to use my knowledge to its fullest extent through my job/career, so I figured a blog is a great way to get my creativity out.

Monday through Thursday I'm mostly in my uniform polo or gym attire which I can only make attractive in so many ways. I get the most opportunities to dress up (or down) on the weekends. The weekend for me is all about versatility. I'm always doing something different than the weekend before, from festivals, barbecues, to going out on the town. What's great about Italians, is that for them, every excuse to leave the house is an excuse to look their best. Some consider their best a great pair of jeans and t-shirt, while others consider a dress, tights and heels. This allows me to wear whatever I want, whenever I want.

On my blog I intend to, keep up with trends and show you how to incorporate them, along with showing you that fashion and style doesn't all have to be designer names and blowing your paycheck on one single outfit. I will also be taking you on all the weekend adventures I get to enjoy, while staying fashionable. I love to help people find themselves through style. I'm 100% up for suggestions and/or ideas.

WeekendMode:

"I'm over this work week. I'm in weekend mode."
OR Mode/Moda is the word for fashion in French/Italian respectively,
so why not put on your weekend fashion and head out the door!
