Classic Clothes with A Trendy Touch

Roveredo in Piano, Italy

More recently, I have taken my rocker "roots" or more like I've finally come to terms that I totally enjoy wearing less classic and feminine styles than I used to. I'm not sure if it's Italy, because a lot of their styles are geared towards that or if internally I always was supposed to dress a little more rough around the edges. I still 100% enjoy dressing a little more classic and girly though, with of course a touch of "me" still in there.

Stripes will forever be an American classic, especially navy and cream. The combo of nautical colors, with military greens and golds as accents, is such a beautiful combination. I also used tan AND black. I feel like more recently, meaning in the past five years, matching accessory colors doesn't matter anymore. This also goes for jewelry. Gold, silver, rose gold, colored, it just doesn't matter like it used to. Obviously you can't go overboard, but just the right amounts is still okay. BTW, I got ALL of these clothes in the past seasons, this is to show that sometimes you just need accessories to make an outfit feel new again.

**Some of you are wondering what the "right" amounts are, correct? Use your own judgement or ask a friend or your significant other. You may think you or they are style challenged, but most people in this world know what overkill looks like. Some people also use the rule: Before you leave the house take off at least one accessory you thought was necessary, because it probably isn't.

I just got these new sandals in the mail and it was just warm enough to wear them. I'm totally obsessed with the strappy lace up the front HEELED sandal and I think I want 27 more pairs before summer is over. I emphasize heeled because personally, I like the look way better than a flat lace up sandal.

If you are wondering what the "me" is in this outfit still. My belt is studded and my ring has enough spikes to poke both eyes out with one swift punch. These are the trendy or "me" items I speak of when you say, "I don't want to look boring" or "How can I be trendy without looking like I tried to hard for my comfort level?"
